About me

Hey there! I'm Thibault Pensec, a Backend Developer based in Pantin, a vibrant city near Paris, France. My coding journey has taken me from the picturesque landscapes of Brittany's Bannalec to the tech hubs of Nice and Sophia-Antipolis and now to the Greater Paris Metropolitan Region.

With over a decade of experience, I've honed my skills in crafting clean, efficient, and elegant code. Java is my forte, and I'm renowned for my expertise in architecting micro-services with Spring Boot. I'm not just a coder; I'm on a mission to optimize every aspect of the software development lifecycle.

Currently, I'm at the helm as the Lead Software Engineer at Symphony, where we're creating end-to-end encrypted chat solutions. Here, I lead the Product Security Engineering Team, ensuring that your data is as secure as can be.

In my previous roles, I've worked as a Software Engineering Manager, leading distributed teams across different locations, tackling high-profile security incidents, and improving developer experiences. Whether it's Java, REST APIs, Cryptography, or building open-source projects, I thrive on technical challenges.

My journey also includes contributing to open-source projects like the Symphony BDK for Java developers, implementing best industry practices for documentation and CICD, and moving projects to FINOS (The Fintech Open Source Foundation), part of the Linux Foundation.

Beyond coding, I'm dedicated to enhancing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) processes, ensuring your applications are released seamlessly and efficiently.

My next challenges?

To master Golang, a journey I've already embarked on through my open-source project named OpenHue.

What truly fuels my passion is the opportunity to elevate developer experiences, enhance tooling, and empower others to achieve their goals. Join me on this journey, and together, we can create a digital landscape where innovation knows no bounds.
